Start with the color names
Learn these masculine singular forms first, said on their own without final case endings. Color adjectives change to agree with the noun they describe; feminine forms are not always made by adding ة. For now, match each written name to its meaning. The color samples are memory aids, and every sample has a written label.

Say as-wad. Sukuun closes the first syllable on s; waaw is the consonant w here, not a long uu.
