Who, what, where and when?

Ask simple written questions with familiar sentences.

Yes or no

هل turns a statement into a yes/no question. A short answer is نعم or لا. A prefixed أَ can also ask yes/no questions, but these exercises specifically practise هل.

هل أنتَ طالب؟

Question words

مَنْ who; مَا what (identity); مَاذَا what (in the action question model); أَيْنَ where; مَتَى when; كَيْفَ how. Models: من هذا؟ ما هذا؟ أين المدرسة؟ متى تذهب؟ ماذا تكتب؟ كيف أنت؟

أين المدرسة؟

Where is the school?

Keep meanings distinct

مَنْ means who; مِنْ means from. In the typing question, keep the fatha on م so those words do not collapse into من. Ordering tiles omit final question punctuation; their prompts still mark them as questions.
