Your first Ukrainian words

Put familiar letters together to read four useful words.

Read the sounds, not the letter names

Read from left to right. These simple reading aids use y for the vowel и, close to i in bit, and i for і, close to ee. In мама and тато, stress the first syllable. Capitals keep the same letter identity.
