Eating: makan

Use one common verb across singular, plural, inclusive and exclusive subjects.

Meaning in context

Makan is the verb eat. Nasi is cooked rice; beras is uncooked rice. Use makan nasi for eating cooked rice.

Explicit subject patterns

saya makan; kamu makan; dia makan; kami makan; kalian makan; mereka makan; kita makan; Anda makan. These are subject substitutions, not conjugations.

Build a statement

Use subject + makan + nasi. nasi = rice (cooked). Other grammatical orders exist; the order task requests this specific pattern.

Saya makan nasi.
