Des or der: whose is it?
Meet genitive ownership with noun endings already written.
The idea
Genitive describes belonging: whose book, colour or room? Masculine and neuter singular take des, usually with -(e)s on the noun. Feminine and plural take der. We supply every noun ending. This is an introduction; everyday speech also often uses von + dative.
