Describe past routines or actions in progress with explicit imperfect forms.

Working in the past

მე ვმუშაობდი; შენ მუშაობდი; ის მუშაობდა; ჩვენ ვმუშაობდით; თქვენ მუშაობდით; ისინი მუშაობდნენ. These imperfect forms describe past ongoing or habitual work; they do not by themselves assert completion.

Two other past forms

მე ვწერდი = I was writing/used to write; მე ვკითხულობდი = I was reading/used to read. გუშინ = yesterday; მაშინ = then. The object remains წერილს or წიგნს in these patterns.

გუშინ მე წიგნს ვკითხულობდი.

Yesterday I was reading a book.
