Say no and not
Distinguish a negative answer from negating an action or expressing inability.
Three different jobs
არა = no as an answer; არ negates a statement; ვერ expresses inability. Keep არ or ვერ immediately before the verb in the practice pattern.
მე დღეს არ ვმუშაობ.
I am not working today.
Useful contrasts
არ ვკითხულობ = I am not reading; ვერ ვკითხულობ = I cannot read; არ არის = is not. დიახ = yes. Do not replace არ with the standalone answer არა.

He/she is not here.
