Read a short menu and express a basic food or drink request.

Menu words

პური = bread; წყალი = water; ჩაი = tea; ყავა = coffee; რძე = milk; ყველი = cheese. These are the naming forms.

Want is a different pattern

მე მინდა = I want; შენ გინდა = you want; მას უნდა = he/she wants. With მინდა, the wanted item is nominative: მე წყალი მინდა. Do not copy the writing/reading object pattern.

მე ჩაი მინდა.

I want tea.

Short requests

გთხოვთ = please (polite); მადლობა = thank you; და = and. პური და ყველი = bread and cheese. წყალი, გთხოვთ. = Water, please. These fixed phrases are useful at a counter.
