Raab Heim's Position	Almost all of the exchange students (i. e. your friends) live here You're also very near to the university (10 minutes walking) There are supermarkets quite near to you (10 Minutes to Hofer, the cheapest one, 5 minutes to Winkler Markt) The local tram (called Bim) station is 5 minutes away The landscape is nice. Hills all around you, you can reach the Danube walking in 15 minutes.	You need about 25-30 minutes to reach the City Center You need about 40-45 minutes to reach the train station
The building	It is not that cold when they turn on the heaters (halfway throug October, usually)	Noisy builders everywhere (starting from 7 AM to 5 PM) Walls are not really soundproof The cleaning of your room depends from your room's position Floors are usually not very clean
Single rooms (old)	Big enough Big wardrobe	Very, very, very thin curtains You may find insects, spiders and bugs Showers and toilet are often terrible
Single rooms (new)	Big Nice bathroom You've your own small kitchen	You've to be in a special list to get this kind of room. Usually they select people who stay here for the whole year.
Double room	Just enough for 2 people to live in	Bring your own switch or router if you want to access the net at the same time as your roommate
Kitchens	You can meet people and new friends there They're building new kitchens. These are much better, though they're still quite small. They give you washing-up liquid	Cold and uncomfortable (one shared tap, few tables) Small fridges They become a big mess during the weekend (or just if one of your neighbours is not very civilized)
Swimming pool	Fantastic: 25 meters long, 5 lines	You will find few places for you when there are school children or fitness groups
Laundry	You can wash your clothes for 1 € and dry them for the same amount	Few washing machines, few driers, your clothes could be damaged (especially if you don't know which program to use)
Office	They're open very early in the morning They're very relaxed (they let you vent) When it's about rent cheques they're very helpful They send you as soon as possible someone to repair eventual problems in your room.	People there are not very friendly (I didn't experience that but I've heard a lot of sad stories). Read more in the forum. They're sometimes unprofessional (you need to shout or make threats to obtain something, they accused people of having stolen their money without any proof).
Reception	People there are usually helpful and nice
Internet connection	Good, in 2 months just 6 hours of interruption for maintenance	The main router buffers streaming videos (such as the one from youtube). So you have to wait till the video is completely loaded on your computer. See the forum for a possible solution
Fitness Room	There are new exercise bikes and some new equipment	Most of the equipment is very old
Ping pong table	It works!
Table football table	It works!	There are no balls (not even in the reception)!
